Pneumatic Power Slips | API 7K Air Operated Drill Pipe Slips

The Safety Shark Pneumatic Power Slips are fully automatic, air-operated drill pipe handling systems designed to improve rig floor safety, reduce manual handling, and increase operational efficiency during drilling and tripping operations. By eliminating the need to manually set and lift conventional drill pipe slips, these power slips help minimise the risk of operator injury while providing fast, reliable and consistent pipe handling.

Designed for use with 3 1/2" to 5 1/2" drill pipe, the system can also accommodate 6 5/8" drill pipe during tripping operations. The slips are gravity-set and air-pressure released, providing smooth and dependable operation using either a hand-operated or foot-operated remote control valve. The non-rotating design is engineered to fit standard 27 1/2", 37 1/2" and 49 1/2" rotary tables equipped with pin drive master bushings, making installation straightforward on a wide range of drilling rigs.

Manufactured from heavy-duty alloy steel components with replaceable slip inserts and guide rings, the Pneumatic Power Slips are designed for long service life in demanding drilling environments. The replaceable wear components simplify maintenance while helping to reduce downtime and operating costs. With a regulated 90 psi air supply and low-pressure quick-disconnect hoses, the system delivers dependable performance while maintaining simple operation and servicing requirements.
