The Safety Shark API 7K Drill Collar Slip is a heavy-duty manual slip designed to safely grip and suspend drill collars during drilling, tripping and tubular handling operations. Manufactured from high-strength heat-treated alloy steel and precision engineered for demanding drilling environments, these slips provide secure load distribution, dependable gripping performance and long service life.

Designed for use with standard API insert bowls, Safety Shark Drill Collar Slips feature a multi-segment wrap-around construction that distributes gripping force evenly around the drill collar while helping minimise surface damage. Replaceable circular button inserts provide excellent gripping performance and can be individually replaced, reducing maintenance costs and extending the service life of the slip assembly.

Available in Short (DCS-S), Regular (DCS-R) and Long (DCS-L) models, Safety Shark Drill Collar Slips cover drill collar sizes from 3" to 14" and are suitable for oil & gas, geothermal, mining and water well drilling operations. The flat upper surface allows the use of compatible Safety Clamps during handling operations, providing an additional level of operational safety when required.

Manufactured to an API 7K style design, these drill collar slips are compatible with standard API insert bowls and are fully serviceable using replacement button inserts and spare parts, making them a reliable and economical solution for modern drilling rigs.
