Multi-Purpose (MP) Safety Clamps are versatile, heavy-duty tubular handling tools designed to provide a secure secondary grip on drill pipe, drill collars, casing, tubing and flush-joint pipe during drilling, workover and well servicing operations. Manufactured from high-grade, heat-treated alloy steel, each MP Safety Clamp consists of individual hinged links fitted with spring-loaded tapered gripping dies. Links can be added or removed to match different pipe sizes, while the multi-link construction distributes gripping pressure evenly around the tubular to provide a secure hold and help minimise pipe surface damage. These clamps act as an essential secondary retention device, reducing the risk of dropped tubulars during make-up and break-out operations.
