GRIPPS® Dual-Arm Tool Hitch

The GRIPPS® Dual-Arm Tool Hitch is designed for securely tethering heavy open-handled tools such as crowbars, sledgehammers, and similar equipment. Featuring a simple but robust choking mechanism, it creates a strong, load-rated connection point suitable for demanding working-at-height applications.

The dual-arm design allows the hitch to be stabilised against movement on both open and closed tools. Once choked around the tool near its centre of gravity, the arms are secured in place using V-Gripp Tape, preventing sliding along the handle. A heavy-duty tool ring on the tail provides a reliable attachment point for a load-rated tool tether.

How to Use

1. Lay the tool hitch flat on the ground or a table.

2. Pass one end around the tool near its centre of gravity and loop the D-ring end through to create a choke.

3. Secure both arms in place using V-Gripp Tape, wrapping at least 10 times on each side.

4. Test the connection for strength.

5. Attach a load-rated tool tether and anchor to an approved connection point.
